Community Guidelines
Helix is engineered to provide a rock-solid, secure environment for developers, scripters, and team projects—but first and foremost, it is a space for **everyone**. We believe in zero technical gatekeeping. To keep our community welcoming and distraction-free, all members are expected to follow these simple baselines:
- Mutual Respect & Openness: Harassment, trolling, or exclusionary behavior targeting individuals based on their background or skill level will not be tolerated. Help others build rather than shutting them out.
- Transparent Dispute Resolution: If a conflict occurs between users or staff members, contact Falenstarr (Lead Network Mod) directly inside the lobbies to handle mediation cleanly and objectively.
- No Malicious Disruptions: Do not use automated channel operations, script loops, or custom configurations to flood channels, abuse service privileges, or manipulate other connected users.
Historical Heritage & Foundations
Modern bot orchestration and backend network administration stand on the shoulders of innovators who defined the classical eras of open communication. Helix maintains a profound respect and nostalgic appreciation for those whose codebases and community stewardship shaped the foundational landscape of IRC automation.
Mai "Domino" Mizuno
Stormbot LegacyRemembered with deep gratitude for pioneering developmental milestones within the automated bot ecosystem and providing vital, early structural support to the broader scripting community. Her historic work laid the architectural philosophy that continues to inspire modern channel automation frameworks.
Josh "Omni" Hamilton
Darkbot InnovationHonored for his structural genius and lasting contributions to text-based automation through the creation of Darkbot. By delivering one of the most accessible, widely adopted, and iconic assistant bots in internet history, his engineering lowered barriers for operators worldwide.
Architectural Infrastructure
With real-time security layers active and overseen by our automated monitoring daemons alongside our active Server Admins, Helix handles high-frequency message throughput cleanly, allowing you to deploy communication bots, configure private dev rooms, and run text automation tools with total peace of mind.
Connection Profile
To defend data streams against injection or local socket mapping, all persistent automated entities and standard user sessions are strongly encouraged to operate exclusively via TLS over socket pipeline 6697.
